Next New Beginner Class, Sunday 10th January, 2010. 10-11am
Starting any new activity is never easy and the thought of being the only person who doesn't know what they're doing can prevent some people from ever starting what could be a very enjoyable activity.
It is for this reason that an introductory class for new beginners is held once a month, usually on the last Sunday of the month from 10-11am.
This will give you an idea of what the school is about and what to expect. The class will be at a gentle pace and the fundamental techniques of Thai Boxing required for the level 2 grade will be covered.
After a short warm up and stretch you will learn how to make a correct fist, basic stance and guard, basic footwork, attacking techniques and defences against them including jab and cross punches, front kick and round kick.
No special equipment or clothing is necessary, just wear loose clothing suitable for sports activity and we have gloves and shin pads that you can borrow.
Please don't just turn up for the new beginners class, please contact me first as I make a special trip to be at the gym one hour earlier than usual and if nobody has arranged to attend the class I may not be there.
