Here are a few basic rules that, if followed, should keep everybody safe, happy and injury free.
1. Always maintain personal cleanliness and hygiene. Thai Boxing is a full contact sport which includes close and grappling/clinching ranges. Therefore, all over body cleanliness and freshness is essential to yourself and others.
2. Wear short toe and fingernails.
3. Always wear clean clothes when training.
4. Don't wear any jewellery when training.
5. Don't chew chewing gum when training.
6. Always show respect to your instructors and fellow students.
7. Never train under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
8. Any medical ailments, disabilities, diseases, infectious conditions etc. must be reported to the class instructor before training.
9. Do not misuse or abuse the gym or any gym equipment.
10. Thai Boxing must only be used in self-defence, and only then as a last resort.
11. Never criticise students or instructors of other martial arts, styles or schools.
12. Members of the BKK Gym shall conduct themselves, both inside and outside of the gym, in such a manner that shall not bring the name of Thai Boxing (Muay Thai) or the BKK Gym into disrepute. Any members doing so may be subject to dismissal from the gym. The BKK Gym reserves the right to negate any gradings at its discretion.
